Modesty Home was designed by leading architect Jun Mitsui of Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects Japan, Inc. (PCPAJ). From the foundation to the rooftop, granite was vertically layered on the façade for a bamboo-inspired visual theme. The lightweight curtain walls of Modesty Home allow the building to stand out from other darker-hued residences and commercial buildings which dominate the district. Flickering lights designed by Satoshi Uchihara, grand art sculptures from Nicolas Bertoux and Cynthia Sah, and the artfully designed landscape have elevated the architectural aesthetic in New Taipei City’s CBD.
