Dun Hua S. Road Office Tower was completed in Sept. 2004, and shortly afterwards became Continental Development Corporation’s headquarters. Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, a well-known American architecture company, designed this building with clean lines and open space so it beautifully coexist with the verdant, forest scenery of Dun Hua Boulevard in the heart of downtown Taipei. The building has an astonishing spatial design and unique construction — SRC was used for 6- level basement while a steel structure was used for the 31 above ground floors. Granite panels were used for the exterior of the first 5 floors. North and west sides feature coated double glazed curtain wall to provide high transparency, excellent thermal insulation and soundproofing for the building. Natural light through the conical skylight creates such an expansive and comfortable environment.
